A catering manager and his team have been honoured by Warwick District Council after impressing hygiene inspectors with their efforts to keep their kitchen clean and safe, it has been reported.
According to the Leamington Courier, two restaurants operated by contract catering firm Catermasters were given a gold environmental health award, which is designed to encourage food providers to improve their service and give consumers more information about where they eat.
Steve Russell, facilities manager at Wolseley, the building firm in which the two restaurants are located, told the newspaper he congratulated catering manager Tom Stewart and his team on their achievement.
"The restaurants are highly regarded by employees and visitors alike and successfully cater for hundreds of diners each day."
Mr Stewart added: "We are delighted to have achieved the highest rating in this stringent assessment, which is a reflection of the team's dedication to quality food and first class service."
Catermasters has provided contract catering services to many firms, including Toshiba and Asda and the Docklands Light Railway.
