A historic castle and stately home in Todmorden is set to undergo a transformation into a children's activity park, it has been reported.
Dobroyd Castle, which dates back to 1869, is to be the third site belonging to Robinwood Activity Centre, which is dedicated to running indoor and outdoor activities for primary school children, according to the Todmorden News.
This is good news for people seeking catering jobs with a difference, in that they'll be working within a lively hub of children's activity and fun.
Martin Vasey, managing director for the organisation, told the publication: "We already have bookings for Dobroyd and feel we are in a strong position
we've been looking across the whole of the North of England for a new centre for some time."
Robinwood is currently in the process of buying the property and is hoping to create the new jobs when it opens in March next year.
The castle was built by mill owner John Fielding, who commissioned John Gibson of London to design it so that he and his mill worker wife, Ruth, would have somewhere grand to live after their honeymoon, according to Calderdale council.
