Contract catering jobs are to be created at Roehampton University after Chartwells emerged triumphant from a competitive tender process.
The firm, part of the Compass Group, has won a five-year contract worth £2.2 million a year to provide student catering services across the university's four campuses.
It will also create hospitality jobs to cover weddings, corporate fun days and summer schools which take place on-site.
Tim Cozens, assistant director of facilities at Roehampton University said: "[This] is a great place to study, work and live, and by working with Chartwells we hope to take full advantage of centralising catering to enhance the experience of students, staff and visitors alike."
Chartwells business director Tony Byrne said the firm aimed to promote a "safe and sustainable environment" that supports the health of customers, clients and the wider community.
Contract catering jobs were also recently created in Manchester when Preston-based caterer Heathcotes Outside won a deal to supply services at the Manchester International Festival Pavilion between July 3rd and 19th.
