Around 25 catering jobs will be created in Skipton after a chocolate-making firm managed to secure a £10 million contract to produce mint crisps, according to one newspaper.
The Telegraph and Argus reported on Whitakers Chocolates, which won a contract with Elizabeth Shaw that is worth £2.5 million per year.
Managing director William Whitaker told the newspaper: "The volatility of cocoa prices made 2009 a tough year for us, but this major contract will provide stability and help us to continue to develop our niche chocolate business."
He added that securing the contract is fantastic news for the local economy and will help to expand the company's 115-strong workforce.
Whitakers is a 120-year-old firm and William Whitaker part of the fourth generation of his family to be involved in the business.
Catering jobs in Bristol have been bolstered by the news that the SPark in Emersons Green science park will bring new roles to the city and create engineering positions as well.
