A community organisation has launched a new cafe in Bath that is aimed at bringing people together and providing vegetarian cuisine, according to one newspaper.
The Leamington Observer reported that the Bath Place Community Venture has launched the Veggie Table Cafe on June 17th after a fire destroyed the original property back in September last year.
Bath Place director Steve Bayliss told the Observer that there was huge sentimental investment in the old building, but now he has realised the establishment was more about the ethos and the people.
"It's fantastic to have it open. We have all invested so much time and money, and blood, sweat and tears into this place. It was just a derelict building and has been totally transformed into a thriving community centre," he said.
GazetteSeries.co.uk recently reported on a new cafe venture in Yate, which was first proposed ten years ago by the town's council and is now being put together in a new £1.3million building.
