A new NHS-funded baby cafe in Croydon is giving new mums the chance to get support during a complicated time, according to one newspaper.
The Croydon Guardian reported on the cafe, which is situated at the Byron Children's Centre in Coulsdon and is run by a partnership including maternity services at Mayday University Hospital, Croydon Council and local voluntary agencies.
Sharon Jones, director of operations for Croydon Community Health Services, said that she wants to see mums coming along to the cafe in order to get guidance and assistance from experienced maternity specialists.
"I would encourage new and expectant mothers to come along to give the Baby Café [a try], to share experiences and get expert advice, which will help give them the confidence," she said.
EDP24.co.uk recently reported on another new baby cafe which opened in May at the Reydon and Southwold Children's Centre in Great Yarmouth, which provides new mothers with a place to socialise and get advice.
Cafe jobs in the south east.
