A student who is currently undergoing training that will prepare her for a career in hospitality jobs has been given an award.
Rebecca Cupitt is currently studying a BSc Hons in Hospitality Business Development at Bournemouth University.
She was crowned this year's Young Guns winner after completing a work placement with catering giant CH&Co.
The 24-year-old spent a year working for the company and beat the other nine finalists of the competition to the top spot.
Ms Cupitt said that the placement programme provided her with a "structured experience across all the aspects of the company".
"At every stage of the programme, I was made to feel welcome by my managers and their teams," she added.
Ms Cupitt went on to say that her experience with CH&Co provided her with a real insight into what it is like working in quality contract catering jobs.
Three CH&Co board directors recently celebrated having appeared on the Women 1st Top 100 Most Influential Women list.
