There may be opportunities for seekers of hotel jobs near the Ipswich waterfront, as planning for three new hotels to be built is set to go ahead.
With formal planning permission likely to be approved by the end of May, construction should begin by the end of the year, according to the Evening Star.
St Peter's Port is the chosen location for the hotels, which will reportedly include a165-room Etap Hotel, a Premier Travel Inn with 117 rooms and a 58-room New York-style boutique hotel.
In addition, the latter hotel is expected to include a conference centre with a 500-person capacity, a restaurant and a bar, giving rise to potential for restaurant work, chef positions and bar jobs as well as hotel jobs.
Positive visitor figures in Ipswich during the rainy season last year caused tourism officials to be optimistic about this coming summer, according to Suffolk and Essex Online, reflecting the demand for facilities like the St Peter's Port complex.
