Hospitality workers at an Oxfordshire hotel have been celebrating unique recognition of their establishment, in the form of four AA stars.
This award signifies that the rural Macdonald Bear Hotel in Woodstock has become the only four-star hotel in the local area.
General hotel manager Beverly Atkinson spoke of the hard work of her staff: "Their enthusiasm and dedication has enabled us to consistently meet and exceed the high expectations of our customers."
According to Ms Atkinson, they have been aiming for the status and working hard for it for around 18 months.
She added that the hotel's employees also received "bespoke training".
Placing exceptional service in the forefront of the business has led to the Macdonald Bear becoming a "centre of excellence" meaning that receptionists across the hotel group will train there in future to maintain current high standards.
This is the second four-star merit awarded to a Macdonalds' establishment in the last year - with the Macdonald Hill Valley Hotel in Shropshire winning the prestigious award last August.
