A luxury hotel and restaurants will be among the features of a major development scheme which has commenced in Chester city centre, it has been reported.
With 1,000 jobs expected overall, according to the Chester Chronicle, the architectural "focal point" which the complex will represent will be named HQ and will overlook the famed Roodee Racecourse.
The luxurious boutique Abode Hotel will be accompanied by its signature restaurant Michael Caines, a partnership which currently has just four other locations in the UK, reflecting its exclusivity as part of the project.
Offering 80 bedrooms, the hotel will be the first situated in the north-west.
Development director of Liberty Properties, Paul Norman, told the publication: "When completed the development will have a significant social and economic impact on the city."
The complex is expected to be completed in August 2009.
Owner of the restaurant, the titular Michael Caines, said: "[The business concepts are] certain to excite everyone in the north-west, both future guests, as well as potential employees", meaning good news for hospitality job seekers.
