Around 45 hospitality jobs should be available when a new hotel complex opens as planned near Quin in County Clare, Ireland, in 2010, a source has reported.
The Ballykilty Manor will see "careful restoration" and transformation into a hotel, conference and leisure development, retaining the unique features of the building as a "centrepiece", according to Atlantis Development, the company responsible for the project.
Emphasis is placed on the fact the project will have local as well as worldwide appeal, signifying an optimistic venture for anyone seeking hospitality work.
The project will incorporate 44 bedrooms, spa and leisure facilities, a function room, a bar open to the public and a restaurant.
John Flanagan, speaking for the firm, said: "It will be marketed at overseas visitors as well as a rapidly growing domestic market. The development will also contribute greatly to the local economy."
The manor is particularly famed for housing the family of Colonel Thomas Blood who stole the Crown from the Tower of London in 1971.
According to Business World, the 50-acre site will also include 14 holiday lodges.
