Travelodge to launch 7 new hotels worth £69.9 million

People seeking solid opportunities in a growing hotel corporation will be excited to know the leading budget hotel company Travelodge has plans for seven new branches, it has been revealed.
Having announced the move today, Travelodge's latest enterprise adds 669 rooms to its current portfolio and includes the acquisition of two hotels from the Swallow Hotels chain and a further five establishments, with full details yet to be announced.
Paul Harvey, property director for the organisation, said: "We continue to actively seek and pursue new development and growth opportunities [and] are looking to open a further 4,000 new rooms in 2009."
The hotels will be situated in London Finsbury Park, Porthmadog, Gloucester, Caernarfon and Egham.
Six and a half million travellers utilised the hotel in 2007, the company claims, with 5,000 staff members currently employed by the chain.
In other news, Travelodge is currently recruiting for 20 hospitality positions at its new Chester Central hotel, which is soon to be opened.
