Hotel jobs in Wales could be created as a Newtown hotel is set to undergo a four star upgrade.
Work on the Elephant & Castle could start as soon as January and will also see the hotel equipped with a new restaurant, the County Times reported.
Once the upgrade is complete, the building will feature 32 en-suite rooms and catering facilities for 100 people.
Speaking to the news provider, owner Ian Williams said: "We really want it to have that 'wow factor', the history of this place is second to none, it goes way back."
The hotel has suffered from a lack of investment in recent years, so it is in need of a facelift, he added.
Last week, the Daily Post reported that a new £4 million hotel is set to be built overlooking the promenade in Rhyl, also in Wales.
The two-storey, 54-room facility will be located next to the White Rose shopping centre.
