A new development could create hospitality jobs in Rhyl, Denbighshire, North Wales, reports the Rhyl Journal.

Plans for a hotel and business regeneration development in Rhyl have been submitted to Denbighshire County Council.

The proposals include a 60-bedroom hotel complete with family pub, restaurant and eco-friendly office space and could create 250 jobs, according to a spokesperson for Northern Ireland-based developers Braidwater.

The spokesperson told the news provider that the first phase of the plans would include a family restaurant with children's play area, and would be run by a national operator.

"Talks are also taking place between Braidwater and a national hotel chain for a 60-bedroom facility. Both the restaurant and hotel could provide some 50 jobs for the local community in the immediate future," they added.

Elsewhere, Inverclyde Council's planning board recently approved in principle a £180 million plan to create hotel jobs with the regeneration of the James Watt Dock in Greenock.
