Hotel jobs are to be created in Lincoln after the local council gave final planning approval for a four-star facility.
The complex will be built on the Brayford North Pool, creating around 70 new hotel jobs in the city, now that the City of Lincoln Council's planning committee endorsed enhanced plans for the hotel.
"We are looking forward to seeing a new high-quality hotel on the Brayford that will complement our plans for the city centre and will be a significant boost to the local economy," commented councillor Darren Grice, leader of the City of Lincoln Council.
Work on the hotel, which will feature 115 guest rooms, is set to start on the site of the old electricity power station in the next six weeks.
Meanwhile, in London, hotel jobs are to be created in the capital after H10 announced plans to develop a 176-bedroom facility in Waterloo.
