Travelodge creates Edinburgh hotel jobs

Hotel jobs in Edinburgh have been buoyed by the news that one of the UK's biggest chains is going to expand its operation in the city.

Two brand new sites in the city will be recruiting staff, including positions as receptionists, head of housekeeping, guest room cleaners, linen porters and bar café assistants.

Michelle Luxford, Travelodge's HR director, said: "At Travelodge, we believe in developing our people and offer excellent training and career advancement programmes for all entry-level staff. The company's ethos is to ensure staff find their work enjoyable and fulfilling."

Training will also be offered to new staff at Travelodge Centres of Excellence, which are located at specific hotels around the country.

Travelodge will also invest more than £60 million into an expansion project in London that will make it the biggest hotel chain in the capital in time for the 2012 Olympic Games.
