Plans for a Berkshire police station to make way for a new hotel have been given the all clear from the Royal Borough, according to one newspaper, which could be great news for people looking for hotel jobs.
The Maidenhead Advertiser reported that a new 200-bedroom, four-star hotel will replace the Ascot police station after members of Sunninghill and Ascot Parish Council discussed the plans last month.
"Members decided they were quite happy to see the police station move into the Pavilion building at the racecourse to make way for the hotel - provided it was well signposted and offered easy access to the public," it reported.
The racecourse site authorities will go into partnership with Aurora International Hotels in order to build the new facility, according to the newspaper.
Premier Inn and Beefeater family restaurants may be transforming the Newton Abbot Racecourse car park into a brand new hotel, creating 65 restaurant and hotel jobs in the process.
