A city on the east coast of England is to get a new Hilton hotel after the group said they had targeted a site for a four-star establishment, according to one publication.
The Linc reported that Lincoln's Brayford Waterfront is the earmarked site for the development, which would occupy the home of a former electricity power station and create around 70 hospitality jobs in the city.
John Latham, director of development and environmental services at Lincoln City Council, told the publication that the council has worked closely with the US firm on the project, which it believes could help with the regeneration of the area.
"We are delighted that Hilton has shown such confidence in our wonderful city enough to put its name to the latest hotel development here," he stated.
Hilton recently announced expansion plans for its Hampton Hotel project, which will set up new establishments in Birmingham, Braintree and Shrewsbury.
