A new Premier Inn is to be built in Rugeley, Staffordshire, which will no doubt bring many hotel jobs to the area.

Hotel and leisure contractor Multibuild announced recently that it won the project on behalf of Whitbread PLC.

As well as the 50-bedroom Premier Inn hotel, it will build an adjacent Table Table restaurant, creating even more hospitality jobs.

Construction of the two buildings, which will include timber frame structures clad with a mixture of brick and render, is set to start next June.

This build is the latest in a long line of Premier Inn projects that Multibuild has undertaken for Whitbread PLC.

Earlier in the year, a former pub in Staffordshire was transformed into a new Indian eatery, which raised hopes for restaurant work in the area.

The Burton Mail reported that the Boat House pub had transformed into the River Tree restaurant, providing not only Indian but traditional English cuisine.
