New hotel jobs to be created in Ilfracombe?

A historic hotel in Ilfracombe is due to re-open soon, creating many restaurant, cafe and hotel jobs in the north Devon town.
The 18th century Royal Britannia Hotel overlooks Ilfracombe Harbour and is set to resume trading within the next week, Devon24.co.uk reports.
Richard Wheeler, the hotel's owner, has spent an estimated £900,000 over the past year and a half on restoring the building to its former glory.
The first sections of the hotel to re-open will be the downstairs bar, restaurant and carvery area.
Two further restaurants will open upstairs in the coming weeks, as well as the hotel's 23 rooms.
"A lot of people who have come in have been very positive and said how nice it is now. In fact the Royal Britannia looks older now than it did when we first started!" Mr Wheeler told the news provider.
Earlier in the year, the Weston and Somerset Mercury reported on plans to redevelop another part of the south-west coastline.
Proposals to transform the Waves Cafe, in Marine Parade, Somerset, were made to North Somerset Council.
