Multi-millionaire Andreas Panayiotou is to advertise hotel jobs in London as he is opening a new venue later this year.

Property developer Mr Panayiotou, who was listed 158th in the most recent Sunday Times Rich List, is opening a Waldorf Astoria hotel in November in the grounds of Syon Park, Brentford, the London Evening Standard reports.

The 137-room hotel will include a butterfly house, ice cream parlour, grand ballroom, swimming pool and spa.

"Our whole philosophy is playful luxury. We are taking the stuffiness out of the five-star market. You can come as you wish and be dressed as you wish," he explained.

Mr Panayiotou told the newspaper that the hotel will target two markets - business people flying into Heathrow who want a luxurious stop-over and wealthy Londoners fancying a getaway somewhere not too far from their homes.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Holiday Inn's parent group is to advertise hotel jobs in London as it is building a luxurious new InterContinental in Westminster.
