A charity is holding an event next month to raise money to improve conditions for those who work in hospitality jobs.
The Hospitality Industry Trust (HIT) Scotland Inverness dinner will take place on September 9th in the Kingsmills Hotel.
Fine wine and food from the hotel's new executive chef Stuart Stirling will be on offer during the evening.
A fundraising raffle and charity auction will take place and entertainment will be provided by MC Peter Mitchell and after-dinner speaker Peter Brown, who is a former director at HBOS.
Craig Ewan, chair of the organising committee and general manager of the Kingsmills Hotel, explained that the event is not just about raising money for the charity: "It will bring the industry together and introduce HIT Scotland to like-minded people who share an ambition for hospitality in the Highlands."
Sponsors of the event include the Institute of Hospitality, wine merchants Hatch Mansfield and Mathew Clark, Tomatin Distillery and Highland Spring.
Plans were recently lodged to build a major golf and tourist resort in the north-east of Scotland, which would create many hotel jobs near Banchory, the Press and Journal reported.
