Nearly 30 per cent of employers predict that they will hire more permanent staff over the next year, a survey has revealed, which means more establishments could advertise hotel jobs in London over the coming months.

Figures from JobsOutlook show that 31 per cent of employers intend to increase their use of temporary workers over the next 12 months.

Roger Tweedy, the Recruitment and Employment Confederation's director of research, said: "The encouraging news is that medium term optimism remains relatively strong and this is likely to be a good indicator of underlying sentiment."

He went on to say that recent research suggests that a large number of employees are looking to change jobs for the first time in two years and that this "could well improve trading conditions for many recruiters".

One company that is set to advertise hotel jobs in London is Holiday Inn's parent group, which recently announced its expansion plans.

InterContinental Hotels said it plans to open a further 35 hotels in the UK by the end of 2013.
