People in hotel jobs in London are getting ready to compete in a charity football tournament next month.

The Hotel and Catering seven-a-side football tournament is being hosted by PJ Search & Selection at Bishops Park on Sunday September 19th.

Chefs, hotel managers and other staff members from 24 London hotels are due to take part and all of the proceeds will go to Springboard UK, a charity that helps young, unemployed and disadvantaged people who are looking to find careers in the hospitality industry.

"I strongly believed that the tournament should support the industry I've worked in all my life," said Paul Gilley, founder of PJ Search & Selection.

The hotels taking part in the competition include the Mandarin Oriental, the Ritz and Hilton Park Lane.

Last year, the tournament was won by luxury five-star hotel the Dorchester, which is located on Park Lane, Mayfair.

Multimillionaire Andreas Panayiotou could soon advertise hotel jobs in London as the London Evening Standard reported recently on his plans to open a new venue on the outskirts of the city later this year.
