Travelodge has opened a training facility to provide people with the skills necessary for hospitality jobs.
Called the Skills Academy, the facility is located inside the Coventry Travelodge and is the first of its kind in the country.
It was set up by the National Skills Academy for Hospitality and provides a training environment with interactive technology and seminar spaces.
The budget hotel chain is looking to open more training centres in a further 20 of its establishments.
Guy Parsons, chief executive of Travelodge, said: "I believe the hospitality industry will benefit tremendously from skill academies, ensuring our industry is ready to serve the influx of customers the UK will see during and after the 2012 Olympic Games."
Last month, Travelodge announced that it has created more hotel jobs in Scotland as it has opened a new venue in Edinburgh.
The 96-bed, £7.9 million hotel is located on Waterloo Place in the heart of the city.
