There is likely to be a significant rise in the number of people being employed in hospitality jobs in the coming months as the London Olympic Games approaches, one expert has pointed out.
According to Steven Kirkpatrick, managing director of Adecco, thousands of workers will be needed to cope with the increased pressure on the country's hospitality industry in the lead-up to the Games.
However, he noted that many of the roles will also become permanent and demand will be sustained after the Olympics comes to an end next year.
"As the finishing touches are put to the construction work, an army of other workers will be needed to fill positions ranging from catering, to media, hospitality, tourism, sport, leisure and customer services," he added.
Last month, People 1st revealed that almost three in four Brits agreed that the country needs to improve the quality of its customer service ahead of the Olympic Games.
