Italian restaurant chain and delicatessen Carluccio's has been taken over by the Dubai-based Landmark Group for £90 million.
The restaurant group was founded in 1999 by TV chef Antonio Carluccio but has now changed hands for 142p per share.
According to the Daily Telegraph, Landmark plans to keep on Carluccio's existing management team, including its chief executive Simon Kossoff and chairman Stephen Gee.
There are Carluccio's restaurants across the UK, in locations including Brighton, London's Canary Wharf, Leicester and Reading.
On September 8th, the Carluccio's in Walton upon Thames is holding a wine dinner with Beniamino D'Agostino of the company's wine producers, Botromagno.
It costs £35 per person and each of the three courses, as well as the welcome canapes, will be accompanied by a different wine from Mr D'Agostino's estate.
The expert will be on hand all night to discuss the food and wines and to talk about Botromagno and the region of Puglia.
