La Tasca could create chef de partie jobs and other positions over the course of the year as it expands its UK operations, starting with the purchase of a Newbury eatery from troubled restaurant operator Paramount.
The Spanish dining firm has taken over the Brasserie Gerard in Newbury, Berkshire, marking its first expansion plans for four years.
Simon Wilkinson, chief executive of La Tasca Restaurants, said strong December trading allowed the company to consider putting its growth plans in place ahead of schedule.
He told Caterer and Hotelkeeper the company's three core brands had all achieved impressive sales growth in the UK and the US.
"We are very pleased with the changes and progress made so far. The market is challenging but we are very excited about our plans for 2012," added Mr Wilkinson.
La Tasca now has over 70 tapas restaurants nationwide after opening its first outlet in Manchester in 1993.
