A new pub, hotel and restaurant are set to create a slew of local jobs near Willington, Staffordshire, it has been suggested.

According to the Burton Mail, developers intend to create a host of new facilities on Etwall Road to cater to the needs of drivers passing through the junction of the A38 and A50.

As well as a petrol station, the site will feature three hospitality venues when construction work is completed later this year.

Family-focused pub-restaurant chain Cloverleaf Pubs, which was founded in 2004 and currently operates seven venues, plans to launch its Cherry Tree Farm property at the site in September, offering visitors amusements and an outdoor patio in addition to the restaurant and bar.

Those looking for a quick meal will also be able to pick up food at a branch of fast-food chain KFC.

New hotel jobs are also likely to be created at an 81-room hotel to be opened by worldwide budget chain Etap, which currently has 13 hotels in the UK.
