An Edinburgh pub is being revamped and is looking for hospitality staff to be involved in the relaunch.

The Rutland, near Princes Street, is currently undergoing a makeover and the management team are looking for a team of professionals in place, according to the Glasgow Daily Record.

When it opens it will be the first interactive bar in Scotland and will have snugs with iPod docks and an 'I Bar', which interacts when people touch it.

General manager Mark Langan told the newspaper: "We need a whole range of people from receptionists and room attendants to bar staff, as well as a range of specialists such as mixologists, who know just how to make the perfect cocktail."

He added that the successful applicants would undertake a four-week intensive training course with a view to "equipping people with skills to see them through their whole career".

Mr Langan added that applicants need to be "confident, sassy and desperate to learn".

Meanwhile two other Edinburgh bars have been put up for sale and are expected to sell for combined total of £2 million, according to the Scotsman.
