New pub jobs could be on the horizon in the north of England after a major bar chain handed over ten outlets to new management.
According to the Publican, Suburban Style Bar has created the subsidiary Beacon Pub Company to look after the units, purchased earlier this year.
Currently operating 15 pubs, bars and bistros across Yorkshire and Greater Manchester, the group is also set to open another venue in Leeds' Gateway development in the coming months.
"The ten new outlets will be keeping their existing identities, although we have begun a maintenance programme which will see considerable money invested in areas such as decorating, new furniture and the construction of smoking shelters," managing director Andy Longman explained to the publication.
He added that the pubs, which will offer a wide array of food and drinks options to customers, are expected to benefit from "a vastly improved product range".
Last week saw fellow city favourite JD Wetherspoon announce plans to open two new pubs as part of a £4.7 million redevelopment project.
