Pub manager Olive Rogers has celebrated 60 years of running the Ferry Boat Inn in Thorganby, North Yorkshire, according to the Publican.
Olive was just 21 when she became licensee of the Ferry Boat Inn, like her parents before her, and has stayed in the same job for 60 years.
"I think people find it a friendly place to come and talk and relax - there is no TV or music and it"s child-friendly," Olive told the publication.
Olive's rural pub is located by the side of the River Derwent and is known to sell local "real ale".
Someone with the same name, Olive Wilson, was reported by the news provider a week earlier as having celebrated 55 years as a pub manager, meaning Olive Rogers has beaten her namesake by a total of five years.
This is the second time in a week that a North Yorkshire country pub has received recognition as the Horseshoe Hotel in Egton Bridge, Whitby, was listed in the Sunday Times as having one of the ten best beer gardens in the UK.
