Pub jobs return to Wiltshire

A pub in Westbury has reopened a year after it closed, bringing pub jobs back to Wiltshire, the Wiltshire Times reports.
The popular pub's new owners, Nick Reed, 43, and Shirley King, 54, took over The Horse and Groom before Christmas and hope to restore it to its former glory.
The couple, who owned the town's The Angel Inn for five years, held the pub's grand opening last week.
Ms King has previously held the position of pub manager at two other Wiltshire pubs, where she met Mr Reed, but The Horse and Groom is the first pub they have run as a couple.
Taking over a pub together was a dream for the couple and Miss King said that the Westbury joint presented a great opportunity.
She told the news provider: "We wanted to take over because The Horse and Groom has a lovely garden, big car park, there's great potential for food trade and it's a gorgeous building, which is at least 200 years old."
Jobs in Nelson, Lancashire were recently saved when the town's oldest pub reopened, according to the Nelson Leader.
