An East Midlands business agent created pub jobs by the week in 2009 after completing his 52nd transaction at the end of December.
Christie + Co's Ben Freckingham sold the Carholme Inn in Lincoln for Admiral Taverns at the beginning of the year, and ended a successful 2009 by selling the Ram Inn in Lincoln, on behalf of the UK's largest pub company, Punch Taverns.
Mr Freckingham, from the property agent's Nottingham branch, managed to sell local pubs to pubcos, local brewers and local entrepreneurs, along with first-time buyers.
He said: "It has been an amazing year, especially considering the testing conditions the pub market experienced during 2009, and continues to experience. However, these sales have proved that people's desire to be part of the pub industry remains strong."
Pub managers in the UK were given a boost recently by Enterprise Inns' announcement of a rise in its profits over the last four months.
