Pub manager jobs will be created in Edinburgh when a new entertainment venue opens.

The G1 Group has revealed plans to open a live entertainment and pub venue in March in place of the Stanley Casino on Edinburgh's Rutland Place.

A total of 60 positions, including pub manager jobs, will be created in the new complex, which will be called Ghillie Dhu.

Innes Wishart, general manager of the venue, said: "With Scottish fayre, drink, live music and entertainment to suit all tastes, we're confident that we have brought the right elements together to ensure everyone who visits Ghillie Dhu has a memorable experience."

She added that the group had searched for a long time to find the right venue, stating that it will serve local Scottish food and have live entertainment every night of the week.

The G1 Group was recently given an Investors in People award, which honours employers that encourage training and development in individuals.
