The boss of a Lincoln cleaning company has helped to save a local pub from the brink and secure hospitality jobs in the process, according to one website.
ThisIsLincolnshire.co.uk reported on the rescue plan that Jo Wright, owner of the Gainsborough firm Steam Wright Ahead, launched in order to become the landlady of The Joiners Arms.
"I used to come in with my partner, Terry Hughes, and it's somewhere I've always thought someone could do so much with.
"I've managed a pub before, for three years, at Willingham by Stow, but becoming the new tenants here all happened really quickly," she said.
The cleaning company boss added that she is trying to encourage local sports teams to come back to the pub and use it as a base.
In other Lincolnshire hospitality news, the Linc reported that the Lincoln's Brayford Waterfront is the earmarked site for a Hilton development, which would see the chain setup and establishment in the area.
