New pub managers have taken over the Black Horse Hotel in the market town of Otley in West Yorkshire.
Previous leaseholder Barrack Inns had planned to start refurbishing the premises on January 23rd, but this fell through, the Morning Advertiser reports.
Barrack Inns briefly converted the pub, which is owned by Enterprise Inns, into an Irish bar called O'Malleys after taking it on last year.
The company has said that it had to give up the lease of the Black Horse due to "local management problems".
Mark McLoughlin and Clare Watson have now taken on the pub and they have plans to restore its traditional values, the newspaper reports Enterprise Inns' divisional director Claire Bradshaw as saying.
Back in December, the Halifax Courier reported that Richard and Alison Priestley had taken over an establishment in Northowram after it stood empty for months, creating pub jobs in the West Yorkshire village.
