A venue in Wiltshire has been taken over, which could lead to the creation of new pub jobs in the region.

The Farmhouse in Southwick, which was built over 350 years ago, has been released by Wadworth Brewery to Janet Harris and Adam Glass, who formerly occupied the pub manager job posts at The George in Lacock, This is Wiltshire reported.

They have over 33 years' experience between them and told the publication that they are hoping to turn the facility into a theme pub after they have decided who to employ in pub jobs at the venue.

"There's a lot of work to be done, but we are confident we can make it work. We have always wanted to run our own pub and, when this opportunity came up, we felt that this was the time to do it," Ms Harris said.

It comes after JD Wetherspoon recently confirmed that it is to create 40 pub jobs in Wiltshire, as the company has bought The Bear on Bath Road and will carry out a refurbishment and rebranding operation at the facility before reopening it.
