Bar staff at the Green Dragon in Market Lavington have seen their place of work named Wadworth's community pub of the year by the Devizes brewers.
Husband and wife Steve and Nicky Wragg have managed the High Street pub for the last nine years, reports the Wiltshire Gazette and Herald.
The Green Dragon has become known for its engagement with the local community, offering support to the local junior football team and taking meals to elderly people who are unable to get out of the house.
Mr Wragg said: "It's important when you get put in the middle of a community to get involved, otherwise what's the point?"
The pub also hosts regular charity events and has raised nearly £4,000 for Dorothy House Hospice Care over the last five years.
Four establishments were recently nominated for the Campaign for Real Ale's (Camra's) pub of the year award, with pubs in Falmouth and Bedfordshire competing for the accolade. Camra's pub director Julian Hough said the award showed "how many exemplary community pubs remain across Britain".
