The Republic of Ireland is to get its first branch of Italian cafe and delicatessen Carluccio's.
Plans to expand into the Irish market were initially outlined last year but now new details about the development have emerged, with the Irish Franchise reporting that the first venue in the Republic will open on Dawson Street in Dublin.
Ron Bolger, the former chairman of telecommunications firm Eircom, will be the franchisee but details about opportunities for chef and restaurant work have yet to be announced.
It marks further growth for the brand, which was originally established by respected Italian chef Antonio Carluccio and his wife Priscilla in 1991.
In an interview with the Times, Stephen Gee, the chairman of Carluccio's, was positive about the firm's position in the restaurant sector, commenting: "Eating out regularly has become a way of life for such a large number of people in the UK
"Consumers will look for a casual dining experience that offers value for money at a lower cost rather than change their habits."
