Bournemouth Best Western restaurant to get makeover

Blakes Restaurant at the Connaught Hotel in Bournemouth is to receive a redesign of its interior to create a more modern appeal, a source has reported.

A new head chef and a restaurant manager were recruited last month as part of the drive to "boost ratings", according to Big Hospitality.

With emphasis on staff development and renovation of the interiors, hotel owner and managing director David Miller is "investing heavily" in revamping the AA rosette award-winning restaurant, says the news provider.

The hotel has also recently announced it is looking for hospitality workers for various positions across the establishment.

When the hotel won its AA rosette for recognition of its food in 2007, the business represented one of only three restaurants in Bournemouth awarded the accolade, according to the company website.

Refurbishment on the restaurant will be carried out by yacht interior designer Stuart Jones.
