The first Jamie's Italian, a collection of five forthcoming restaurants owned by the celebrity chef Jamie Oliver, has opened, with restaurant work expected to be created.
Dishes will be largely inspired by Oliver's own published recipes "with affordable pricing", says Caterer and Hotelkeeper.
Jamie's Italian represents the chef's first independent restaurant venture, with up to twenty establishments planned over the next five years, the publication claims.
For seekers of restaurant positions, Jamie's Italian's ethos on staff is to "genuinely think that giving great service is something to be proud of, whatever your position".
The history behind the concept is the celebrity chef's personal interest in Italy's culture, largely orientated around family and reflected in its food and sense of tradition that can still observed all over the country.
Jamie is aiming to incorporate a sense of this lifestyle in his food, with the ambiance "contemporary and informal
where people relax and anyone is welcome", says the restaurant's website.
