The Taste festivals have been taking the UK's gastronomic lovers by storm and according to reports, the London occasion was no exception.
Highlights given by Big Hospitality of the weekend's many culinary and beverage offerings from some of London's most prestigious institutions included the signature creamed lobster and brandy soup from Michelin-rated Le Gavroche, a lemon tart from Rhodes Twenty-Four, and a 12-year-old rum from Appleton Estate.
A review from the Londonist praised the choice of activities and things to see at the event other than the food, with the event's timetable being "chocked full of live music, demonstrations [and] book signings".
Operated by Waterstone's, the book signings featured appearances from authors and celebrity chef wives Tana Ramsay and Jane Fearnley-Whittingstall, with opportunities for people to ask questions.
It also added that visitors could find "bargains, goodies and new takes on age old products", reflecting a good array of options for purchase.
Taste festivals run five UK locations and two in Ireland, with events in Edinburgh, Dublin and Leeds already proving a success.
