One of London's premier airports has finished its development of its retail and food and drink facilities in its south terminal, it has been reported, suggesting the creation of customer service and hospitality jobs.
Boosting the range of dining options available to customers, the move sees the launch of a JD Wetherspoon pub and restaurant, Bridge Bar, Frankie and Benny's as well as a milkshake bar called Shake-a-Hula, according to ebookers.com.
In total, 50,000 sq ft of space dedicated to the new arrivals has been created by the British Airports Authority.
Mike Luddy, airport commercial director for Gatwick, told the news provider: "This is one of the most exciting periods of our year and I am delighted to see so many fantastic new shops and restaurants, creating more variety and choice than ever before."
