Plans for a garden centre which will create restaurant jobs in Northern Ireland have been given the go-ahead, reports the Belfast Telegraph.
The new development, Dobbies Garden World, built by Scottish firm Dobbies Garden Centres, will cost £12 million to build and will include a modern garden centre with a farm foodhall, as well as a restaurant.
The restaurant and foodhall will use local produce, benefiting the suppliers in the region.
Stuart Wright, Dobbies director of property, told the news provider: "This represents a multi-million pound investment in Lisburn and will create about 120 new jobs for the community, all of which in turn will boost the local economy for many years to come."
The project is also intended to deliver demonstrations and initiatives to get children involved in gardening as a way of forming links with the community.
Elsewhere, Newbury Racecourse has been given permission to go ahead with a new development which could create hotel jobs in Berkshire.
