Wagamama restaurant group is opening one of its famous noodle bars at Belfast's Victoria Square, creating up to 50 restaurant jobs.

The shopping centre, which is set to open in November, already boasts 18 other restaurants and cafes.

Wagamama, which has over 100 restaurants worldwide, is recruiting for the positions of general manager and head chef at the new restaurant.

Speaking to the Belfast Telegraph, a spokesman for Wagamama explained how the new restaurant is going to look.

"Communal dining at long benches replaces the traditional table and chairs, generating an authentic Asian environment and welcoming busy workers during the week and families at the weekend," he said.

Wagamama currently has 66 restaurants in the UK and three in Ireland.

Earlier this year, the news provider reported that plans for a garden centre, which will create restaurant jobs in Northern Ireland, had been given the go-ahead.

Dobbies Garden World is to be built in Lisburn and will employ as many as 120 people.
