Restaurant jobs could soon be created in Penarth Marina, South Glamorgan.
The Vale of Glamorgan has approved plans to sell land in the area to a developer, which is proposing to build a new restaurant and offices on the site, the Penarth Times reports.
Work on the £1 million development is set to start in January 2011 and it is hoped that it will be completed by next summer.
Officials from the company running the project, Swanbridge Developments Ltd, told the newspaper that they have already held discussions with two restaurant operators.
Adrian Hancock, director of the firm, said that the company is looking forward to opening a new restaurant bar grill.
"We are all very excited about the concept and are sure that residents and visitors alike will enjoy the marina dining experience," he added.
Last month, WalesOnline reported that a derelict building in nearby Cardiff was set to be transformed into an eco-friendly hotel.
