Marco Pierre White to create restaurant jobs in Bristol

Marco Pierre White is to create a number of restaurant jobs by opening a new eatery in Bristol.

The new restaurant will open at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House four-star hotel in Congresbury towards the end of this month.

"It's going to be a very exciting time and I'm really looking forward to bring[ing] my vision of dining out to the south-west," White said.

Around £20 million has been invested in transforming the south-west hotel over the last four years and the addition of the new restaurant is the latest step in the project.

Nick Taplin, the hotel's owner, said that he hopes the opening of the new restaurant will attract more people to the south-west region.

Back in May, Michelin-starred chef White announced plans to open a Steakhouse Bar and Grill in Liverpool next spring.

The restaurant will be situated at the Hotel Indigo - a brand new £15 million boutique hotel currently under construction in the city's commercial district.
