Restaurant jobs are to be created in south Devon as a top-quality fish eatery is set to be built in Brixham.
The small town will benefit from a new multimillion-pound fish market by next Easter, the Herald Express reports.
It is hoped that the market and the new restaurant will help the town to rival successful fishing villages in Cornwall and Brittany.
Exeter property consultancy Alder King has been appointed by Torbay Council as letting agent for both the fish quay restaurant and a new onsite fishmongers.
Jon Andrews, director of the regeneration organisation Brixham21, told the newspaper that the project will help to "raise Brixham's profile as a great place to visit and enjoy high-quality fish with the backdrop of a traditional picturesque fishing village that will benefit from the new investment and jobs".
Torbay Council is currently accepting tenders for the restaurant and aims to choose the tenants in November.
Last month, ten restaurant jobs were created at the historic Cricket St Thomas estate in Somerset thanks to the opening of a new eatery.
