Jamie Oliver is set to create a number of chef jobs and other restaurant jobs at a new eatery in Edinburgh.
The celebrity chef is opening a branch of his Jamie's Italian chain in the Scottish capital city.
It is to be located in George Street's historic Assembly Rooms building, which is grade A-listed.
The building is currently undergoing major refurbishment works, which will cost around £9.3 million in total.
"Jamie's Italian … will bring an exciting contemporary feel to this beautiful and historic venue, exactly as he has done with his restaurant in Cambridge, itself a listed building," the BBC reports the city council's culture and leisure committee's convener, Deirdre Brock, as saying.
The new Italian restaurant is expected to open next summer, bringing the number of branches in the chain to nearly 20.
Earlier this month, the Scotsman reported that new chef jobs were to be created at the Caledonian, which is located on Princes Road in Edinburgh, after it benefits from a £14 million makeover.
